Alan's journey through life was filled with passion and dedication. He became a technical writer after earning his Bachelor's Degree at the University of Arizona.
Described by those who knew him as having a laid-back and calming demeanor, Alan possessed an even-tempered nature that soothed those around him. He was a kind soul with an unwavering sense of empathy and compassion. Alan's gentle heart touched the lives of everyone he encountered and brought comfort to those who needed it most. His genuine acts of kindness will be forever engrained in the memories of all who knew him.
In addition to his flourishing career, Alan cultivated various hobbies and interests that enriched his life. He found solace in the great outdoors while hiking through scenic trails. Woodworking allowed him to bring beauty to life through his skilled craftsmanship. Alan found joy in the written word; both reading and writing held a special place in his heart.
Sports also played a significant role in Alan's life. Softball provided an avenue for friendly competition and camaraderie. Coupled with his love for golf, Alan excelled on the field and green alike, earning numerous trophies throughout his years as an avid player.
Among Alan's proudest accomplishments was his fruitful twenty-year tenure at GE Nuclear in San Jose, California. His dedication and expertise as a Technical Writer left an indelible mark on the company. Colleagues respected him not only for his knowledge but also for his willingness to mentor others and share his wisdom.
Alan is survived by his lovely wife Regina Sagen, 2 sons, Nathan and Aaron Sagen and daughter-in-law Valerie, brother Eric Sagen, and 2 nephews Michael and Steven Sagen.
