Albert Phillip Daigle born on August 27, 1931, in Quincy, Massachusetts, died on Wednesday, August 22, 2012, in Austin, Texas. He attended school in Lynn, Mass. He later obtained his BA in Business Management at Hampton University in Virginia the same year his oldest daughter graduated from High School. He married Patricia Levasseur in 1951 in Lynn, Massachusetts. He was drafted and joined the US Army in 1952 and served for 20 years. He took his family from Massachusetts to Germany, Kentucky, New Mexico and Virginia. He also had a tour in Korea and two in Vietnam. He retired in 1972 at the rank of Lt Colonel. His job for Brown & Root continued his travels to Virginia and Oklahoma before retiring again and planting roots in Austin, Texas.
He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Patricia, and his seven children, Joanne Schneberger, Elaine Daigle, Kathleen Hagerty, all of Austin, and Diane Wilson of Waco, Texas, Susan Saunders of Springdale, Arkansas, Janet Prager of Palisade, Colorado, and Andy Daigle of North Bend, Washington. He had 10 grand-children and 3 great grand-children. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations to the Salvation Army, Al's favorite cause.
