It is with deep sadness that the family announces the passing of Alexandrea Dee Bender on August, 7, 2024 in Kyle, TX. She was born on September 3, 1984, in Austin, TX, and was a beloved wife and loving mother to her three children.
She is survived by her husband Cayce Crummer; children Arion Kimmelman, Skye Crummer, and Aesun Crummer; grandmother Edith “Keyko” Holland; brothers Matthew Bender and Austin Bender, as well as multiple family members and friends. She is predeceased by her mother, Sandie Dee Bender, father, Richard Bender, brother Sterling Bender, and aunt Shauna Jacobson.
Alex was a beautiful, vibrant, creative, talented, and funny woman, who deeply loved her family. She was a passionate musician who loved to sing and play her “fiddle.” She had the time of her life playing live venues and recording music with Still in the Brake and, previously, with the Rollfast Ramblers. Alex was an animal lover and was so proud of the pigs and chickens she raised on her home-based farm. She was also an avid gardener and family historian. She was always ready to lend a helping hand to others. Alex will be remembered for her bright spirit, sense of humor, and her generous heart. She will forever be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
A graveside service will be held on August 19, 2024, at 11:00 am at Onion Creek Memorial Park, 11610 Chapel Lane, Austin, TX 78748.
