Alice Faye Brandyburg was born September 27, 1944 to Joe and Venora Brandyburg in Coupland, Texas. She was the second child of eleven children. She attended first through eighth grade at Coupland Colored Elementary, O.L. Price High School in Taylor, Texas and graduated from Booker T. Washington High School in Elgin, Texas. She played basketball and ran track all four years of high school. Alice confessed hope in Christ at an early age. She joined Pear Valley Baptist Church of Coupland, Texas. Alice married James Johnson. Later years, she married Kenneth Brice and moved her membership to Harvesting Ministries Family, where she was featured member of the month. Alice is preceded in death by her father, Joe Brandyburg, mother, Venora Brandyburg, brother, Rudell Brandyburg and her sister, Wanda Brandyburg.
She leaves to cherish her memories; Her loving husband, Kenneth Brice; three children: Sherri Downing (Ricky), Kurt Overton (Shiffon) and Ester Speed; five sisters: Gwen Dixon (Charles), Vernell Gumby (Ron), Joyce Lewis, Aileen Reynolds (Burt) and Mary Smith; brothers: Wallace Brandyburg, Roy D. Brandyburg (Beryl) and Donald Ray Brandyburg (Sue); five grandchildren: Jarvis Johnson, Keaton Anderson, Ta Quayla Wilcox, Shaterra Overton, Jasmine Speed and a host of great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and friends.
