Allene Hobbs

Allene Hobbs was born in Ft. Worth Texas to Francis and Austin Salyer in April, 1936 and her spirit was released March 26, 2018 in Austin. She lived with energy and enthusiasm. People were drawn to her friendly, generous personality and zest for life. Her nicknames were Roadrunner and Dragonfly because she was always on the move. She loved bird-watching, rock collecting, reading, and traveling. Allene excelled as an accountant, working in the private sector, at TxDOT, and at the Texas National Guard Armory Board.

She leaves behind her children, grandchildren, and numerous family and friends who mourn her passing and cherish her memory.

Services will be held April 7, 2018 at 1:30 at the All Faiths Funeral Home North chapel, followed by a brief ceremony at the Fall Creek Cemetery in Spicewood for interment next to her beloved husband Lindsey and other dear family members. Reception to follow.
