A life began 60 years ago in a rural Smithville, Texas, community known as Center Union, on August 6 1956. He was born to the union of Tommie Lee McIntyre and Freddie Mae McIntyre.
He confessed a hope in Christ at a very young age at Center Union A.M.E. Church where he remained a faithful member until his passing.
Allie was educated in the Smithville Public School and graduated from Smithville High in 1974. He later attended Paul Quinn College in Waco, Texas, and graduated in three years with Bachelors in Business. While attending Paul Quinn he pledged Phi Beta Sigma.
He returned to Center Union in 1991 and began working for the US Postal Service. When his health diminished in 2010, after 17 years, he retired as a supervisor from the Lake Travis Post Office in Lakeway, Texas.
On the afternoon of February 14, 2017, Allie was called home to eternal rest. He was preceded in death by his father Tommie Lee McIntyre; his mother, Freddie Mae McIntyre; his brothers, Tommy Lee McIntyre and Clarence McIntyre; and sister, Bettye Jean Lewis.
Those left to cherish his most precious memories are: his wife, Zavier McIntyre; son, John McIntyre (Brooke); brothers, Sherman McIntyre (Ann), Carl McIntyre (Terry), Vernon McIntyre, Robert McIntyre, three granddaughters: La Nadia, Kinley and Kinsley; a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
A visitation will be held at All Faiths of the Pines located at 110 American Legion Road,Smithville, TX. 78957 on Friday, February 24, 2017, 4-8PM. Funeral service will be the following day, 11AM, Saturday,February 25, 2017 at Center Union AME Chruch located at 264 Center Union Road, Smithville, TX. 78957. Allie Burnett McIntyre will be laid to rest following the service at Cunningham Cemetery, Smithville, TX
