Ann V. Rainosek, 88, passed away Friday, May 12, 2017 in Austin, Texas. She was born August 26, 1928 near LaGrange. With her parents, John F. Rainosek and Annie Zvesper Rainosek, and family, she lived near Schulenburg. She moved to Austin in 1955. She was a beautician for over forty years, and was co-owner of the Three Sisters Beauty Salon until retirement in 1997. She was a faithful member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Austin. She is preceded in death by her parents, one brother John F. Rainosek, Jr., her twin sister Mary T. Rainosek, and her sister Henrietta Shay. Survivors include her sisters, Marcella Rainosek of Austin and Fayetteville, Martha Jurecka of Fayetteville, and one brother Frank (Mary) Rainosek of Austin, ten nieces and nephews, and twenty-three great nieces and nephews, and three great-great nieces and nephews. Visitation was on Sunday, May 21st from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at All Faiths Funeral Services with a vigil service and rosary at 7:00 p.m. The funeral mass was celebrated on Monday, May 22nd at 10:30 a.m. at Sacred Heart Catholic Church with Fr. Alejandro Caudillo officiating. Elizabeth Aldrich, great niece, was Altar Server and Lector. Interment followed at the Assumption Cemetery in Austin. Pallbearers were her nephews Philip Shay, Joe Rainosek, great nephews Michael Shay, Daniel Shay, and nephews-in-law Paul Kovar, Ron Fellers. Memorials may be made to the donor’s choice.
