Anna Houston

Anna Rose Houston passed away October 30th, 2013. She is preceded in death by her husband, Wilburn Collins "Tex" Houston to whom she married in the First United Methodist Church in Smithville, Texas. She is also preceded in death by her mother, Roxie Ann "Anna" Rose and her father, John Harold Dingle, to whom she was an only child. Rose was born in Shreveport, Louisiana on December 7th, 1923.
Rose is survived by her loving children: Bruce Dean Houston and wife Irene , Brenda Gail Houston, Beverley Kay Reed and husband Bill, Bryan Michael Houston and his wife Diana "Diane". She is survived by two maternal grandchildren: Kelly Michelle Saunders and Regan Evelyn Saunders.
She is also survived by the following grandchildren through marriage: Stephanie Bartholomew and husband Tom, Sherry Dwornik and husband Bill, Karie Strahan, Jodi Britton and husband Travis, Tamra Clark, Henry "Hank" Helser, Jonathan Tristan and wife Erin, Karissa Tristan and partner Tamika, & Eddy Tristan.
She is also survived by 24 great grandchildren through marriage of her children.
She will be laid to rest on Sunday, November 3rd in Oak Hill Cemetery after a service at All Faiths of the Pines Funeral Home in Smithville, Texas at 1:30 PM
Rose was an active mother and long time resident of Smithville, Texas. She enjoyed visiting with family and friends and loved talking to everyone. Her smile was beautiful and the sound of her laughter was delightful and infectious. She was a true Lady in every sense and will truly be missed by all who knew her.
