Tony Perez Verver of Austin was called home by God on Sunday, March 30th surrounded by family. Tony was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Helen Verver and parents Francisco and Guadalupe Perez Verver.
Tony was born on May 10, 1942 in Elroy, Texas. He attended Del Valle High School but was unable to complete his education. Due to family hardships, he left school in order to help support his family. His first job in Austin was at Butterkrust Bakery. He then worked as an electrician's apprentice and advanced to become a Licensed Electrician. He also worked as an inspector for the City of Austin and operated his own business, TV Electric until his death. On June 18, 1965 he married his beloved wife, Mary Helen Sifuentez. Days before his death, he spoke to his son about how he was thinking about and still missed his wife, Mary. On March 30th, he was reunited with her in eternal life.
His greatest accomplishment was the love he shared with his children and many grandchildren. Although a man quiet by nature, he always enjoyed the many times he gathered with his family and talked about the events many days following. He loved playing pranks on his grandchildren and telling them believable tall tales. He was always ready to tell a joke and was a loyal Texas Longhorns and Dallas Cowboys fan.
