Barbara Dewhurst

Barbara Jean Dewhurst (87) transitioned to a New Life with the Lord on Sept. 16, 2023 after a brief illness.  She was born in Marshall, MN to Nicholas and Mary Mosch.  She graduated from Central Catholic HS in Marshall, MN and attended Business School in Mpls, MN for a Secretarial/Admin career.  She married Frank Dewhurst on Feb. 2, 1963 in Marshall, MN.  They lived in Hopkins, MN, Rochester, MN, and Boulder, CO before moving to Austin, TX in 1990.  Barbara worked as a Secretarial/Admin until retirement in 1996.  She was very involved in St. Theresa Catholic Church and her community, Williamsburg HOA.  She loved to travel, meet new people, go to happy hours and dinners with her husband Frank, along with traveling to family events. 

She was preceded in death by her parents, brothers Darrell, Duane and Douglas Mosch.  Surviving siblings are Helen Catton, Dennis and Donald Mosch.  She is survived by her children, Michele (Peter) Volz, Kurt Dewhurst, Lynn Hernandez and Kim (James) Ingino., also 11 Grandchildren and 9 Great Grandchildren. 

Celebration of Life mass and reception, preceded with the Rosary at St. Theresa’s Catholic Church, 4311 Small Drive 78731, on October 9, 2023 at 10:00 am.
