Barbara Ann Savoris was born December 26, 1948 in Taylor, Texas at the Dickey Clinic.
She attended the OL Price School until she was transferred to Taylor High School where she graduated in 1967. Barbara continued her education by studying Business School in both Corpus Christi and Austin, Texas. Her Christian life began at an early age at the Mount Calvary Missionary Baptist Church in Taylor, Texas until, she moved to Round Rock Texas and became a faithful and active member of Agape Christian Ministries until her health began to fade. Barbara had an angelic Soprano voice and sang in the choir for many years and also played the piano. Barbara loved working with children, and some of the children she worked with would say "Barbara" as one of their first words and she loved it! Barbara's greatest gift was her smile, and she was never shy about introducing herself to a complete stranger. She loved the kitchen whether cooking a simple dish or the entire Thanksgiving Dinner along with her famous cakes and pies. She would complete the meal then wait and smile once the compliments began.
Barbara's newest love was her church. She loved sharing what the Bishop fed her at her service. She rejoiced how The Lord blessed her and always gave him the praise.
Her beloved Mother Lorraine Jefferson, devoted and loving Fathers John Henry Gray and Willie Jefferson, Sister Carolyn Jefferson, Grandparents Roscoe and Imogene Scott and her Mama Gray, two nephews and one great nephew, preceded her in death.
She leaves to cherish her memories her son, Blake Hamilton and his wife Andreana Hamilton of Georgetown TX, son Quincy Andrews of Round Rock TX, Son Jeffrey Jefferson and his wife Keontay Jefferson Grandchildren Carolyn Hamilton, Blake Hamilton Jr, Crispin Hamilton and Alexiz Hunter, niece Lakitia Mayo-Ranceful of Chicago, Niece Tamisha Franklin of Round Rock, Texas, Nephew Michael Henderson of Austin, two loving Sisters Judith Henderson of Austin TX and Doris Franklin of Round Rock TX and a host of family and friends many that called her "Mama Barbara".
