Betty Sue (Payne) Davis, 79, was welcomed into her Heavenly Father's arms on Friday, December 7, 2012 after waging a valiant life, but losing battle against a long illness. "Sue" was born July 16, 1933 to Eva Mae and Joseph M. Payne in Austin Texas. On March 30, 1950 she married John (JR) Davis, over the course her marriage, she lived in Austin and Lubbock before retiring in Bastrop in the late 1980's.
While in Bastrop she became very active member of the community.
She was past President of the Bastrop Senior Center, where she organized trips, played cards, crafted and visited with her friends. She was an active member of AARP and delivered Meals on Wheels. In December 2012, Sue moved to Corpus Christi, where she lived with her Daughter and Son-in-Law and enjoyed life as a Grandma and Great-Grandma.

She is preceded in death by her Parents, a Brother; Kenneth Payne and her Husband of 57 years, J.R..
Sue leaves memories for her Children; Randy (Gail) Davis of Lubbock, Daughter; Cindy (Jerry) Franje of Corpus Christi, Grandchildren; David Hunnicutt(Jody Irons), Whistle Hunnicutt(Ruth Moreno), Heather Franje(Clark Horak), Racquel Davis, Paige(Zach) Edwards, 8 Great-Grandchildren and 4 Great-Great-Grandchildren.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, December 12, 2012, 10:00am to 1:00pm at All Faiths Funeral Services, North Location, 8507 N. IH-35, Austin Tx... Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday at 1:00pm, with Rev. Don Long officiating, at All Faiths Funeral Service-North. Interment will follow at New Hope Baptist Cemetery, Cedar park, Texas.
