Beverly Elise Kellar, 74 passed away on May 16, 2015. Beverly was born on September 18, 1940 to Violet Starns and Tom Dodd; step dad was Pat Starns. Beverly attended and graduated from Smithville High School. She is survived by her husband, Buddy Kellar, two daughters - Lisa Matthews and Kathy Smith and four grandsons - Preston, Justin, Garrett, and William. Beverly grew up in Smithville and during her early teen years she was a beautiful model. She won the local Miss Pepsi Cola title. Later Beverly married and moved to Dallas where she was a wife, mother, housewife, and very active in art projects. She loved to paint, sew clothes, and handcraft art. She attended many art festivals in Texas where she would sell her handmade items. Back in the early 90's, she moved back to her hometown of Smithville, where she resided until her death. Beverly's other love was for dogs. There was never a time that Beverly was without a dog. She loved them and took great care of each and every one of them.

Grew up in Smithville; married and moved to Dallas where she lived and raised her daughters. Moved back to Smithville around 1990
Wife, mother, daughter, very creative in art - loved to paint, do arts and crafts; attended many festivals to sell items she made; loved to fish and camp
As a young adult, she modeled and was chosen the title of Miss Pepsi Cola in Bastrop County
She visited her grandparents farm in Schulenburg frequently and rode horses and helped out on the farm along with her brother and cousin, Chet Barker.
Loved each and every one of her dogs!!
Visitation for Beverly Kellar will be at All Faiths of the Pines, Smithville, TX on Tuesday, May 19, 2015 from 10:00 am to 1:00 PM. Funeral service will follow starting at 1:00 PM.Beverly will be laid to rest at Oak Hill Cemetery, Smithville, TX following the funeral service.
