Brice Gifford

Brice Wayne Gifford, 60, succumbed to multiple myeloma bone cancer peacefully at home as he was surrounded by family and friends on September 13, 2012. Brice was born on December 23, 1951 in Austin, TX to the late Ossie Gifford and Clara Scott. At the age of 22, he married his High school sweetheart, Jeanette Fretwell. Brice worked for the City of Austin and retired after 26 hard-working years. His retirement was short-lived as he later became employed at Capital Metro. Brice had a love of fishing, hunting, and spending quality time with family and friends. He was a friend to many with his light-hearted laugh and warm smile. He will truly be missed by all as he was such a caring and loving husband, father, brother, cousin and friend.

Brice is survived by his wife, Jeanette, of 39 years; his two sons, Bryan and his wife Melody of Austin, TX and Scotty and his wife Adriane of Houston, Texas; four grandchildren Abbigail, Peyton, Demetri, and Thanasi; three loving siblings and numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family.

A visitation beginning at 9:00 a.m. and a service to celebrate his life at 1:30 p.m. will take place on Sunday, September 16, 2012 at All Faiths Funeral Home at 8507 North IH-35 Austin, Texas 78753. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Onion Creek Baptist Church, Hospice Austin, or the American Cancer Society.
