Byron Keith Urdy was born August 24, 1965 in Austin, Texas, the son of O'neil and Barbara (Marion)Urdy. He attended Reagan H. School and later studied the culinary arts and horticulture.
He was a very talented cook and worked in the restaurant industry throughout his life. He also worked in the gardening industry during the time he lived in Houston, Texas.
In addition to his talent for cooking and gardening, Byron was a lifelong lover of the arts. From a young age he loved the theater and could be seen on the stage in many of his schools' productions. When it came to music, dance and fashion, he knew everything from what was trendy to the classics. With everything he did he gave it his "all," especially when it came to his talent for "debating." Byron had to have the last word.
Known for his great sense of humor, just being in his presence was a treat. No matter what you were going through you could count on him to make you laugh with his quick wit and clever come-backs. And he would be that one to say what we were all thinking.
Byron endured many trials during his life's journey, but he bravely faced each challenge with a fighting spirit. May the strength he displayed be an inspiration to us all to never give up and to always have hope.
Of all of his great qualities, the one that shines the brightest was his fierce, unconditional and loyal love. Byron loved with all of his heart, and with that love came acceptance, support and protection. You knew that Byron had your back.
Most important was Byron's love for God. He pursued a relationship with Christ throughout his life. He encouraged others in their spiritual walk by sending daily scriptures, and was recently searching for a church home to further his growth and walk with Christ.
Our Lord called Byron home the morning of March 16, 2016.
He was preceded in death by: his grandfather, Charles C. Marion; sister, Carlis Urdy; two brothers,Curtis Williams and Michael Williams; nephew, (Lil) Charles Urdy Archille and cousin, Ryan
