Carol Start

Carol Ann (Peterson) Start, born on January 29, 1938 in Worcester, Massachusetts, passed away at age 80 on March 18, 2018 in Austin, Texas. Carol graduated from North High School in Worcester, then Becker Junior College in 1959. She married the late William Start in 1962 then moved to South Windsor, Connecticut where they began their family.  Carol worked as an attendance secretary at South Windsor High School until 1980.  Their love of Vermont led to a move to Montpelier, Vermont where Carol worked at the Vermont NEA until her retirement in 1997.  In 2000 they moved to Ocala, Florida where they enjoyed a long retirement in the sun until William passed in 2016.   She then moved to Austin, Texas to be with her daughter Karen.

She is survived by her daughter, Karen; son, Robert Start, brothers, David Peterson and Donald Peterson; and grandchildren, Ryan, Alex Start, and Elizabeth Start. Per her wishes there will be no services.
