Chad "Karma" Rogers, 25, passed away at 8:18 p.m. Wednesday, Nov 30, 2016, from injuries sustained in a roadside accident in rural Rockdale, TX
Chad was born on 7 January 1991 in Austin, Tx to John and Laurie Rogers. He spent his childhood years in both Austin, TX and Cadiz, Kentucky. When he reached adulthood, he found his calling as a dedicated humanitarian as well as an advocate of LGBT rights and was a recognized figure in the LGBT Community. A short time after returning to Austin, he began a philanthropic journey that would lead him to touching many lives as he opened up his residence to anyone in need, providing shelter to people from all backgrounds and walks of life. In his spare time he enjoyed spending time with his famliy, writing poetry, Composing original music, cathcing Pokemon, and interior decorating.
His Friends and family lovingly contribute this memory " Chad once saw a man drifitng without shoes on the street. He proceeded to remove the shoes off of his own feet and give them to a complete stranger going the rest of the day barefoot...that was his heart, one full of love and compassion".
He is survived by his mother, Laurie Rogers of Rockdale, TX; father, John Rogers of Austin, TX; siblings, Johnny Rogers of Nashville, TN; Tabitha Rogers of Cadiz, KY; Tifanny Rodriguez of Austin, TX; Joseph Hage of Colorado Springs, CO; Shannon Rogers of Austin, TX; April Bryan of Austin, TX; Valerie Almanaza of Austin TX; Mathew Gaytan of Plano, TX; Justin Van Loan of Austin, TX; Alexis Marzan of Rockdale, TX; Melissa Rogers of Rockdale, TX; his grandmother, Mary Russel of Elgin, TX; and several nieces and nephews.
Memorial Service will be held at 1:00pm on Saturday, December 10th, 2016 at All Faiths Funeral Chapel-North Location.
