Chadwick Wilcox

October 4, 1975 — February 18, 2015

North Austin Location

Chadwick Allen Wilcox died unexpectedly on the 18th of February 2015 at the age of 39. Chadwick is remembered as a deep thinker who encouraged his friends to search for a more profound bond with Christ.

Chadwick was born to Clifford and Janet Wilcox in San Diego, California on the 4th of October 1975. Chadwick had a particularly close relationship with his late grandfather John Wilcox and spent many years with him in Placerville, California. He was an active member of the Church of Christ throughout his youth and in 2004 he graduated from Lubbock Christian University with a Bachelors of Arts in Missions.

Chadwick met his beloved wife Susan while attending Lubbock Christian University and they were married on January 1, 2002. The couple were active members of South Plains Church of Christ in Lubbock, teaching children's Bible classes, participating in mission trips, and coaching the Bible Bowl team. Chadwick also loved being part of the West Texas Running Club and enjoyed his job driving a school bus.

Chadwick and Susan moved to Austin in 2010, where they are now active members of the Red River Church. They have continued to enjoy running, bike riding, and being outdoors.

Chadwick is survived by his wife, Susan; his father Clifford Wilcox (and Denise Wilcox) of Cameron Park, California; his mother Janet Hulme of Hanover, Maryland; brother, Chris Wilcox of Costa Mesa, California; and many other loving relatives and friends. Chadwick is preceded in death by his grandfather, John Wilcox of Placerville and grandmother, Delores Wilcox of Placerville.
