On April 6, 2017, at the age of 69, Charlie passed away at Scott and White Hospital in Round Rock, Texas with his loving sisters and his niece Kelli at his bedside. After battling numerous health issues for more than a decade this was one fight he couldn’t over-come and he peacefully went home to our Heavenly Father for his final reward.
Charlie was an incredibly loving person and his smile, laugh and constant joking was contagious. He always did his best to make everyone’s day a good one. He loved making others laugh or smile. Although born in Nebraska, Charlie had a heart as big as Texas and would help anyone when ever he could. Charlie worked at Leander’s HEB Plus for 8 years and there wasn’t a co-worker, customer or neighbor that didn’t call him friend. Throughout his years at HEB Charlie was honored numerous times as the partner of the month and partner of the year.
He was born Charles Raymond Blacker in Lincoln Nebraska on August 17, 1947. He was preceded in death by his parents Walter E and Beth C Blacker. He is survived by his sisters Cheryl Aldrich Williams of Leander, Texas, Linda E Rodney of Otis, Oregon and Catherine L Lopez of Houston, Texas plus numerous nieces and nephews who loved him dearly.
At his request, there will be no funeral services but please feel free to share your memories of Charlie on this web-site.
