Life of Charles Watson Jr (a.k.a "Junior/Plate")

Charles Watson Jr. was born to Ronetta Bracey Watson and Charles Watson Sr. on December 7, 1951 in Sumter, South Carolina. He enjoyed a wonderful life and a fine upbringing with his five siblings Patricia Thorpe (Clarence), Sandra Staton (Charles), Ralph (Denise), Rodney (Jackie), and Dwight Watson.

Charles Jr. attended elementary and secondary school in Sumter and graduated from Lincoln High School in 1970. In 1971, he joined the United States Air Force. During his service, he received several service awards, commendation, and national defense service medals. He served his country faithfully for 21 years before retiring as a Technical Sergeant at Bergstrom AFB, Austin, TX.

Charles Jr. loved life and lived it to the fullest! He has meant so much to so many people. He loved music, cars, entertaining, and was always the life of the party. He loved to laugh and had a tremendous sense of humor. He could make you laugh, loved to joke and have fun and enjoyed the finer things in life. He had a heart of gold, was honest, opinionated, and always stayed true to his assertions and beliefs. He was an avid fisherman, enjoyed competitive fishing and was never one to make false claims about the "one that got away".

His sunset was duly noted on June 29, 2016 at 5:15 am. He is survived by his children; Rochelle Thomas (Emanuel), Summer Jefferson (Kerwin), Charles Watson III (Shayla), Patson Brewster, and Angie Saine (Kipkeno), his loving companion Dolly Simmons, his grandchildren; Semaj, Nijah, Alaijah, Kyla, Kiya, Ethan, Khalyla, Akiya, Sydni and Aubre; his brothers and sisters; and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, as well as his grandparents Mike and Mozell Watson and Moses and Henretta Bracey.
