On Thursday April 29, 2021, Christopher Treviño, loving husband and son, passed away at the age of 46. Chris was born in Post, TX to Luis and Leticia Treviño. He received his degree from the University of Texas in Austin in 2015 and worked in the accounting field for several years. He married Andrea Ovens on May 13, 2016.
Chris was a wonderful, sweet, and funny person with a huge imagination and a big heart. He was a kind husband who showed his love every day with thoughtful gestures and generosity. He raised and cared for several guinea pigs who made his life fun and spontaneous.
He loved playing his various Fender guitars and discovering new music. He mastered several songs by The Cure and The Smiths and favored accomplished guitarists such as Johnny Marr and John Frusciante. Music was a big part of his daily life and he readily shared his playlist with admiration for talented musicians. Chris spent many years working for himself as a furniture refinisher where he restored old broken pieces into beautiful works of art. He was a skilled craftsman when it came to restoring something old and worn out, making it new again. His work will forever live in the Travis County courthouse where he restored all the courtroom benches that are still in use today.
Left to cherish his memory are his wife Andrea Treviño, his mother Leticia Treviño and father Luis Treviño Sr, his brother Luis Treviño Jr, and his sister Lynnette Treviño-Hernandez, brother-in-law Andrew Hernandez, nephews Dayton, Joshua, and Nos Hernandez, sister-in-law Maricela Hernandez, and his niece Gracie Treviño.
