Craig Douglass, 65, died April 1, 2015.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Warren and Phyllis Smith, his former wife, Jodie (Balkum) Smith. He is survived by his long time partner, Jim Brison (Austin, TX), daughter Sinnamon Menke, son-in-law Norbert F. Menke, Jr., and grandson Earl Menke (Colorado Springs, CO), sister Margo Smith, and niece Kate Kerns (Austin, TX).
Craig was born Douglas Craig Smith on September 8, 1949 in Dodge City, Kansas. He graduated from Wichita North High School (Wichita, KS) in 1967. He enlisted in the Air Force to see the world... and spent four years in Texas. During his time with the Air Force from July 1968 to July 1972 he completed basic training at Lackland AFB, San Antonio and was stationed at Goodfellow AFB, San Angelo. After his time with the Air Force he decided to make Texas his home and moved to Austin.
Craig worked a variety of different jobs throughout his life and had many interests. Most recently Craig made a career as a massage therapist, became involved in junktiquing, and doting on his grandson. Craig leaves behind a wealth of friends and family that will remember him fondly.
