Cynthia A. Garcia was born on March 30, 1960 in Sterling, Illinois; and passed away on August 25, 2015 in Austin, Texas. The daughter of Roberto Puentes and Lucy (Rodriguez) Puentes.
She is survived by her mother, Lucy (Rodriguez) Puentes of Corpus Christi, Texas; her husband, Oscar Garcia of Austin, Texas; three sisters, Patricia Puentes of Corpus Christi, Texas, Irene Puentes of Corpus Christi, Texas and Roberta (John) Gonzalez of San Antonio, Texas; four children, Jonathan Puentes of San Antonio, Texas, Jeffrey Allen of San Antonio, Texas, Jessica (Charlie) Cardenas of Austin, Texas and Amber (Greg) Sliger of Schertz, Texas; four grandchildren and one great-grandchild. She is preceded in death by her father, Roberto Puentes.
Cynthia fought a long and hard battle of juvenile diabetes since the age of 15. Her love of her family was evident, as was her devotion to her grandchildren. She made a difference in this world and the world is now a better place for having known her.
Visitation will be held on Friday, August 28, 2015 from 4:00 PM - 8:00 PM at the All Faiths Funeral Services North Chapel. Services will be held on Saturday, August 29, 2015 at 11:30 AM at the All Faiths Funeral Services North Chapel; 8507 N. IH-35, Austin, Texas 78753.
