Dolores Garcia

Dolores C. Garcia, age 88 of Manchaca TX., passed away on Wednesday, November 28th 2012.
Born in Lockhart, Texas and grew up and went to school in Austin. She married Inocencio Garcia, on March 5, 1949, the grade-school "bully" she strongly disliked. In the spring of 1950, they moved to the cold region and would make Chicago their home and raise their children.
After retirement, they migrated back to Austin in September '91. Dolores was a devoted wife, the disciplinarian mother, a gregarious neighbor, and a life-long friend. She loved her road trips with Ino and later would pack a playpen to include Nicky, a toddler grandson.
Dolores dealt with medical issues all her life and had a list of doctor and hospital visits. Later in life, as she spent more and more time in and out of hospitals, she never met a healthcare practitioner she didn't love, and she would always relay to the family how wonderful they were.
Dolores leaves our physical world to join her spiritual father and will join her parents Josefa and Donaciano; husband Ino; brother Pete and sister Vera among other family members. She leaves behind five children, Joe Madrid and spouse Jean Marie; Rita Albin and spouse Nick; Richard Garcia and spouse Chris; Elma Bartocci and spouse Neno; and Toni Marla Perez and spouse Julian, her Brother; Agustine Cardenaz as well as 14 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great-grandchildren.
Mrs. Garcia will have a visitation on Saturday, December 1, 2012, 10:00am to 1:00pm at All Faiths Funeral Service South Congress location. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 2:00pm at Santa Cruz Catholic Church, 1100 Main St., Buda, Texas 78610. Interment will follow at Assumption Cemetery, 3650 South IH35, Austin, Texas 78704.
