Donald Cicero Boehnke, known to his friends as "Tex", was born August 30, 1934. He passed away July 4, 2014 at the age of 79.
Donald is survived by his wife of 56 years, Bette Brinkman Boehnke, of Muldoon Texas.
He has two sons; Michael Dean Boehnke and wife Sheri of Hempstead, Texas and
Mark Steven Boehnke and wife Rose of Bastrop, Texas, Grandsons; Joseph M. Boehnke of Monahans, Texas and Christopher S. Boehnke of Houston, Texas, Granddaughters; Ashley and husband Dale Murdock of Wichita Falls Texas, Rachel Boehnke of Houston, Texas and Amanda Boehnke of Hempstead, Texas, Great grandchildren; Brayden Murdock and Aubrey Murdock of Wichita Falls, Texas.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Jesse F. and Ima Ray Boehnke, of Muldoon, Texas and infant brother, Jesse Jr.
Donald was a graduate of Flatonia High School in 1951; Texas A&M University in 1955, and served in U.S. Army 1957-59.
He worked for USDA as County Executive Director Waller County retiring in 1989.
Donald was a long time member of Muldoon Methodist Church and numerous civic organizations.
