Dorline Shelby Hardeman was born on January 26, 1942 in Fayette County, Texas. Her parents were the late Albert Shelby, Sr. and Effie Laws. God called her home on June 6, 2018.
At an early age, she accepted Christ and was baptized, and later in life became a member of David Chapel Missionary Baptist Church in Austin, Texas. She later became a member of Solid Rock Baptist Church in Austin, Texas. She was President of Mission 2 at Solid Rock Baptist Church. She was a good and faithful servant up until her death.
She attended the Schools in Austin, Texas.
On March 18, 1958, she married William Jackson, Sr. and to this union they had five children.
She later married Vascee Hardeman on December 1992. She was employed with the Austin Independent School District at Gullett Elementary School where she worked for 27 years before retiring in 2001.
She enjoyed going to church and doing God’s work. She loved cooking and having family gatherings at her home where all of her children and grandchildren would come over to enjoy her meals that she had prepared. And when she became Blessed with great grandchildren she was overjoyed when they came to visit with her.
She was preceded in death by her parents Albert and Effie Shelby, her son, Albert Eugene Jackson, Sr., her sisters, Dorothy Rivers and Carrie Mae Laws.
She leaves to cherish her precious memories, her husband Vascee Hardeman of Austin, Texas.
Two sisters, Elnora Baptiste of Pflugerville, Texas and Rose Walker of Austin, Texas. Two daughters, Cynthia Haywood (Charles) of Pflugerville, Texas and Rochelle Jackson of Dallas, Texas. Daughter-in-Law, Lynda Jackson of Conyers, Georgia. Three sons, William Jackson, Jr. (Sheryl) of Georgetown, Texas, Wesley Jackson (Ann) of Pflugerville, Texas and Michael Shelby of San Antonio, Texas. Five Granddaughters, Terranie Jackson, Shamika Johnson, Ashley Jackson, Samara Jackson and Lynae Jackson. Six Grandsons, Charlie Haywood, Albert Jackson, Jr., Brandon Haywood, William Jackson, III, Aaron Sauls and Wesley Jackson. Twelve Great Grandchildren, Jonathan, Kameran, Dayana, Blayze, Ethan, Aubrey, Avery, Carter, Allan, Saraiyah, I’yima and Bailey. A very special friend, Willie Mae Thompson. And a host of nieces and nephews, cousins and friends.
