Dorothy Roberts

AUSTIN - Dorothy Helen Roberts, 90, of Austin, TX, passed away peacefully March 25, 2021. She was born November 1, 1930 in Mexia, TX. She is preceded in death by her Mother, Asilee Atwood, husband, John Robert Lee Roberts, sister, Betty Foreman, son, Kenneth Foster and grandson, Michael Miller. She is survived by her children, Gregory Foster of Temecula, California, Sandra Roberts, Eva (Jessie) Trevino, Deborah Roberts, John Dennis Roberts, Gillis Drayton and Mark Roberts of Austin, TX. Her Sister Audrey Williams of Austin, TX, Sisters-in-Love: Beatrice Sanders of San Antonio, TX, Carolyn Powell and Annie (Virgil) Hardin of Austin, TX, Shirley Swain of Detroit, MI, and Brothers-in-Love: Ronald (Jackie) Robertson and Jessie (Barbara) Robertson of Austin, TX, thirteen grandchildren, six great-grandchildren and many beloved nieces and nephews. Dorothy was known for her kindness, generosity and love. She had a strong faith in Jesus Christ and was an active member of Vision of Hope AME (originally New Hope AME) where she served many years as Sunday School Superintendent and as a member of the Women’s Missionary Society. Special Thanks to Dr. James Hull of Austin Regional Clinic, Dr. Timothy Hines of Austin Kidney Associates and Texas Home Health Hospice Team for excellent care of our Mother. A celebration of life viewing will be held from 12-5 pm Wednesday, March 31, at All Faiths Funeral Services located at 8507 N IH-35 Frontage Rd., Austin, TX 78753. A Homegoing service will be held for Dorothy on Thursday, April 1 at 11 am at the St. John Tabernacle located at 7501 Blessing Ave., Austin, TX 78752 and the family will hold a graveside gathering after the service at Cook-Walden Capital Parks Funeral Home & Cemetery, 14501 N IH-35, Pflugerville, TX 78660
