Dorothy Victor

Dorothy Lucille (Helmstadter) Victor, 96, of Austin, TX, formerly of McKeesport, PA peacefully passed away on January 20, 2013. She was born July 21, 1916 in McKeesport, PA and was the last surviving of the family of Amelia and John Phillip Helmstadter. She is preceded in death by her husband of 64 years, Elmer Edwin Victor, Jr., her son David Victor, her brothers, Harry, Phillip, John, and Roy, her sisters Louise, Jessie, Francis, Agnes, and Ruth. She is survived by sons Robert Victor and wife Maria, Richard Victor and wife Mary Ann; daughters Patricia Victor and husband Stan Roux, Susan and husband Terry Nittka; daughter-in-law Jacquelyn Victor; grandchildren Bob and Tom Chalker, David Victor, Christine Pascual, Jaysun and Kevin Roux, Kimberley Victor; and 14 great-grand children.
Dorothy will be greatly missed by her family and friends. She was a homemaker, who along with her husband provided a loving and caring home for her family. She always found the time to have one of the family favorites baking in the oven. She committed her life to her family and extended family, always being there in time of need. She devoted much of her time and energy as a caregiver to family members, including her mother until her passing at age 87.
Family and friends gathered for a home visitation January 22, 2013 with the assistance of All Faiths Funeral Services. The family thanks Pat Victor and family (our Mother's angles on earth) for their loving care of our mother through her extended illness. Cremation with burial to follow this summer in her home city of McKeesport, PA.
