Bill was the youngest of 12 kids born to Homer and Ida Belle Francies in Wynnewood, Oklahoma on December 26, 1931. Bill served in the Korean War as an engineer building bridges for the Army. He's worked for MA Bell (telephone company), worked numerous years in the grain elevator business as a Grain Superintendent in multiple cities, and in his later years he co-managed Apartment Complexes with his wife, June. He traveled and drove through all 48 continental states. He flew to Hawaii but rented a car as soon as he got there, and cruised to Alaska. After retirement, he lived in Canyon, Duncanville, and Smithville, Texas. He was preceded in death by his parents; 10 of his brothers and sisters, two great-grandchildren, and his wife of 49 years, Phylis June Francies. Survivors include his companion, Connie Malley and her daughter, Katy Lyytinen and husband Cody, of Smithville; three daughters, Donna Lancaster, of Duncanville, Faye Vest and husband, Jerry, of Olton, and Christie Jo Carver and husband, Steve, of Gypsum, CO; three sons, Randy Dugan, of Canyon, Ricky Dugan and wife, Lynette, of Gracemont, OK, and Billy Dugan and wife, Sherie, of Sedan, NM; 14 grandkids, Nikki Gerhart and husband, John, of Cedar Hill, Jeff Lancaster, of Duncanville, Salana Sullivan and husband, Travis, of Clayton, NM, Jennifer Perez and husband, Carlos, of Olton, Jannaka Watson and husband, Corey, of New Braunfels, Jannessa Casares, of Olton, Christopher Ellis, of Denton, Ronda Rickard and husband, Jason, of Glenwood Springs, CO, Jonathan Ellis, of Gypsum, CO, Angie Beaumont, of Ft. Collins, CO, Stevie Carver Jr. and wife, Liz, of Livermore Falls, Maine, Kellie Dugan, of Odessa, Kayla Melton and husband, Josh, of Norman, OK, and Lisa Edelen-Beaty, of OK; 25 great grandkids; two great, great-grandkids; a brother, Joe Francies and wife, Marvin, of Possom Kingdom; a sister, Bernice Stice, of Lubbock;numerous nieces and nephews; many friends all around the country; and Hendrix the Bulldog. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to your favorite charity.Friends and family will meet at Brooks Funeral Directors in Canyon at 10:00 A.M. on Saturday, June 18 for visitation. Memorial graveside services will be at 11:00 A.M. on Saturday, June 18 at Dreamland Cemetery with The Rev. Lloyd Stice, his nephew, of Lubbock, officiating, and with Military Honors provided by Volleys for Veteran's. Following the service friends and family are gathering at Dyer's Bar-B-Que in Amarillo at 12:30 P.M.
