Edward Lawrence Shelby “Ed” was born on November 27, 1953 in Austin, Texas to Richard Albert Shelby Sr. and Ida Marie (Ahart) Shelby.

Edward graduated from Lanier High School while there, he also ran track. Edward attended Gambling State University, while there he joined Alpha Phi Omega fraternity.

Edward married Mattie Shelby and to this union Sarah Shelby was born.

Edward worked at ICU Medical for 24 years, he was kind and friendly to everyone he met.

Edward was preceded in death by his parents, and sister Sharon Marie Shelby.

Edward leaves to cherish his memories, daughter Sarah Shelby, two brothers Richard A. Shelby Jr. (Barbara), Todd R. Shelby of Dallas, Texas, three nephews Roderick Shelby, Reginald Shelby and Trevon Shelby of Austin, Texas, two nieces Andrea Shelby, Kristen Shelby and one great niece Treasure and one grandchild.

Edward also leaves behind a host of relatives, loved ones, and friends.
