Elias U. Andrade of Austin, Texas, husband, brother, uncle, & son passed away peacefully on July 27th, 2020. Elias was survived by his beloved wife of 26 years, Christine Andrade; Parents, Elias R. and Grimalda Andrade; Brother and Wife, Rafael and Yanette Andrade; Sister-in-Law, Gwen Casares; Brothers-in Law, Gilbert Casares and Michael Casares; Mother-in-Law, Mary Lou Rios; Father-in-Law, the late Felix T. Casares; Nephew, Azael Andrade.
Elias was described by his family and friends as having a positive attitude, great sense of humor and always had a beautiful smile. He worked for Travis County, Criminal Courts. His co-workers enjoyed his qualities of kindness, always looked forward to seeing him and hearing him set the tone for the day with a song and his words of, “Good Morning.” His co-workers felt he was the heart of the division.
All the qualities Elias had in loving his family and friends are attributed to his love for Jehovah God. On October 19, 1985, he dedicated his life to become a Jehovah’s Witness. He continued his faithful service up until his death. He loved life, enjoyed the preaching work, and was always willing to help out in the congregation. He firmly believed in the resurrection hope, promised in Acts 24:15, “…there is going to be a resurrection of both the righteous and the unrighteous.”
He enjoyed travel with his wife and friends, live music, dancing and taking beautiful photographs.
The Andrade family is appreciative and thankful for all the love and support that has been given and shown during this difficult time. We truly feel encouragement and have felt how true Proverbs 18:24 comes to life, “…friends sticking closer than a brother.”
