Elizabeth Ann Timmerman Franke, originally of Wharton, TX, left us Sunday, the 4th of December, surrounded by loving family at the age of 90.
“Sister” as she was affectionately known by her family, was born in Wharton, TX, on December 29, 1931 to Bessie Gladys (Peebles) and Henry Ernest Timmerman and had three siblings. She attended college at the University of Texas and worked for Trans-Texas Airlines as a stewardess. She was a member of the Stafford Church of Christ in Stafford and married for 62 years to her loving husband, Leland Kenneth Franke.
She will be remembered for her kindness to everyone who knew her and as a beloved wife, mother and grandmother who was always willing to entertain family or friends. She had many interests, notably an excellent cook. Family dinner at her home never disappointed.
Those left to cherish her memory include her loving sister Mary Lou Williams of Lynchburg, VA; her beloved children, Leanne Franke Kelsey and Kenneth Alan Franke of Pflugerville, TX; three grandchildren, Justin Kelsey, Jordan Kelsey and Garrett Franke; five step-grandchildren, Crystal Felty, Monica Martinez, Mickey Felty, Timmy Felty and Tamie Felty; four great-grandchildren, Aiden Lee Kelsey, Krissy Kelsey, Kaylee Kelsey, and Paulette Kelsey; and eight step great-grandchildren, Madison Martinez, Ashton Martinez, Lyla Martinez, Cora Felty, Wyatt Felty, Remi Felty, Patrick Felty, and Bradley Felty.
