Eugene Lee Sherman of Manor, Texas was born on December 25, 1928 and died on September 2, 2015 at his home in Manor, Texas.
He is survived by his wife, Irene Sherman, of Manor, Texas, son, Daryl Sherman and his fiancAC.e, Pam of Raleigh, North Carolina, daughter, Lynette and her husband, Cordis of Meeker, Oklahoma, and sister, Louise Goff of Ingram, Texas.
He is preceded in death by his parents, John and Nina Sherman, and one brother, Milton Sherman.
He is also survived by grandchildren, Kristin and her husband, Trey Davis of Charlotte, North Carolina, David Sherman and his fiancAC.e, Kelly of Charlotte, North Carolina, Cory Slaughter and his wife, Casie of Moore, Oklahoma, and Chris Slaughter and his wife, Sacha of Washington, Oklahoma, and great-grandchildren; Drew Davis, Stella & Caleb Slaughter, and Quintin and Kennedy Barrow.
He served in the U.S. Air Force, graduated from the University of Texas with a degree in accounting, and was a life long Longhorn fan.
Visitation will be held on Friday, September 4, 2015 from 4:00 PM - 8:00 PM at the All Faiths Funeral Services North Chapel. Services will be held on Saturday, September 5, 2015 at 1:00 PM at the All Faiths Funeral Services North Chapel. Interment and military honors will be held on Tuesday, September 8, 2015 at 2:00 p.m. at Central Texas State Cemetery in Killeen, Texas.
