Floyd (Boonie) Hernandez, 53, of Austin, Texas passed away on April 16, 2014. He was born to Santiago and Juanita Ortiz Hernandez on October 24, 1961 in Austin, Texas.
In his early years of life Boonie attended Pleasant Hill School and Bedichek Middle School. After leaving Middle School he began working construction with his oldest brother, Rudy, along with various other jobs. His main love was hunting, fishing and camping with his brothers and friends. He felt free when he was in the woods and was always willing to teach others about the outdoors. He was very talented in drawing pictures and doing things with his hands. He loved his family with a deep love and was always willing to help them from his heart.
Floyd was preceded in death by his parents, his brother Michael and his sister Nancy Jackson.
He leaves to cherish fond memories of his life to two Sisters: Emma Batten and Annie Vallejo, eight Brothers: Rudy, Rocky, Roy, Robert, Felix, Randy, Jimmy and Johnny Hernandez, 24 Nephews and Nieces and 19 Great Nephews and Nieces.
Visitation will be held at 10:00 AM and a Service at 11:00 AM on Thursday, April 24, 2014 at All Faiths Funeral Services – North Location. Gravesite will follow at Hernandez Cemetery-511 Webberwood Way, Elgin, Texas 78621
