Francisco Rios-Maldonado

Francisco Javier Rios-Maldonado, born on December 3, 1936 in Mante, Tamaulipas, Mexico, passed into his Lord’s hands on April 26, 2017 in Austin, Texas at the age of 80 years. He is survived by his beloved wife of 56 years, Pauline J.; daughter Sara Hathaway and husband Rusty; sons Francisco Rios-Maldonado, Darryl Rios-Maldonado and wife Lorie; sisters Olga and Lala; brothers Pablo and Leobardo; numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren and other family members. Francisco proudly served his country in the USAF. He was active in the Vietnam War earning commendations and retired after 20 years and 4 months of service. Francisco loved his family, and they in turn loved him deeply. He will be greatly missed. In lieu of flowers, donations in Francisco’s name can be made to the American Cancer Society.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, May 9, 2017 from 12:00P.M.-3:00P.M. in the Mausoleum Chapel of Assumption Cemetery in Austin, Texas at 3650 S IH35 frontage rd, 78704. A Graveside Service will be given on Wednesday, May 10, 2017 at 1:00P.M. at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery in San Antonio, Texas with Military Honors to be rendered.
