George Martin Sharp, born September 25, 1940, in Austin, Texas, passed away on September 3, 2015 from complications from a fall.
George was the oldest of seven children born to Charles Martin Sharp and Mary Louise Patton. He was raised in Austin. His dad owned a plumbing company and he followed in his footsteps.
He met and married Betty Ann Payne in Williamson County in 1969 and they had one daughter, Brenda Sue Sharp. He spent a few years working as a plumber in Houston before returning to Austin.
When he returned to Austin, he moved to Leander where he met his second wife, Ann Marie Hartman. They were married for 26 years. He began his own plumbing company, Sharp Plumbing Company. He continued to do plumbing in the Austin area until he retired in the late 1990's.
George was preceded in death by his wife, Ann, and both parents.
He is survived by his daughter, Brenda, grandchildren, Betty and Ezekiel, and great-grandchildren Lilly, Addison, Owen and Bryson, Brothers: Charles Sharp and Janie of Cameron, John Sharp and Carolyn of Lago Vista, William Sharp and Gloria of Liberty Hill, and James Sharp and Roger of League City; Sisters:
Mary Parrish and Bill of Waco, and Sandra Pena and Robert of Round Rock. He is also survived by several step children, step grand-children, and many nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers are brothers: Charles Sharp, William Sharp, James Sharp and brother-in-laws: Bill Parrish, Robert Pena, and Roger Galpin.
Viewing and visitation will be on Tuesday, September 8th, at 11:00 a.m. at All Faiths Funeral Home, 8507 N. IH 35, Austin. Burial will be at Oakwood Cemetery at 1:00 p.m.
