Gerald "Bj" Schindler Jr.

Gerald “BJ” Richard Schindler Jr. of Austin passed away on May 10,2019 at the age of 39. He was born on September 10th, 1979 in Wiesbaden, Germany to Gerald and Barbara Schindler. On March 3rd, 2007 he married Francesca “Tina” Cruz.

He was a loving Husband and Father. His daughter Milagros meant the world to him, and she wanted to be just like him. BJ was a hard worker and would help anyone out who needed it. He loved making people laugh and would always leave you with a smile on your face. BJ loved playing his bass guitar and was in a few different bands. His band mates were his 2nd family, and he loved them as such.

BJ is also survived by his In-laws Mario (Maria) Cruz, brothers Patrick (Melanie) Schindler and Paul (Aimee) Schindler, brother in-law Juan (Christy) Cruz, nieces and nephews: Ariana Stefanovski, Julian Stefanovski, PJ Schindler, Emma Schindler, Audrey Schindler, Macy Cruz,  Elijah Cruz, John Caleb Saucedo and many Aunts, Uncles, and Cousins.

A Celebration of BJ’s Life is being held on Saturday May 18th at 3:00pm at Micklethwait Market and Grocery, 114 NE 2nd Street Smithville, Texas .

In lieu of flowers, a GoFundMe has been set up for his daughter’s college fund, which will be placed in a 529 Education Savings Plan for future education-related expenses.
