Gilbert Seidel

Gilbert Richard Seidel, 87, was born on February 8, 1930 in Taylor, Texas to Frank Seidel and Ida Fiebrich Seidel.
Gilbert had a full life. He was in the U.S. Marines, an employee of Alcoa and TXDOT, and a lifelong rancher.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a son, Dr. Terry Seidel, M.D.
He is survived by his former wife of 46 years, Barbara Michalski Seidel and their children, Sandra Goertz and her husband Paul, Alan Seidel and his wife Tina, Carolyn Hammons and her husband Ronny, Peggy Lancaster and her husband Ricky, Dr. Neil Seidel, DVM and his wife Karen, Chris Seidel and his wife Maureen; 19 grandchildren and 24 great grandchildren.
Rosary will be recited at 7:00 p.m. Wednesday, March 1, 2017 at St. Mary's Catholic Church, String Prairie, Texas. Mass of Christian Burial is 11:00 a.m. Thursday, March 2, 2017 at St. Mary's Catholic Church with Father Dariuz Ziebowicz, celebrant. Interment will be in the St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery.
A reception will follow at the St. Mary's Church Fellowship Hall.
