Glenda Dickinson

Glenda Rose Dickinson, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend passed away October 31st, 2020 at the age of 83. She was born in Longview TX to Leslie and Essie Houseworth.

She was married to Don Dickinson for 57 years and they were blessed with 3 children and 6 grandchildren. She adored every minute she spent with her kids and grandchildren and loved to make all children smile. Her family was the cornerstone of her life and brought her immeasurable joy and happiness.

She had an early career as a high school teacher and later enjoyed working at a local elementary school.

Glenda was a loyal, longstanding member of Brentwood Oaks Church of Christ in Austin TX for over 50 years and found great comfort and friendship in the church’s fellowship and community. As she recalled, “I love church on Sunday mornings. I feel as though I am home.” She especially enjoyed rocking babies during Sunday church service.

As she begins her new life in Heaven, she leaves behind a host of fun memories, life lessons and will be sorely missed by friends and family.
