Grady Ralph Ridings, 84, of Austin Texas passed away May 15, 2015.
Grady (Papa) was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and great grandfather. He will be greatly missed by all. Grady worked for the Texas Rehabilitation Commission. He was a veteran of the US Air Force having served during the Korean War.
Born on July 2, 1930 in Durant Oklahoma to Arthur Sr. and Clara Ridings, he is preceded in death by his loving wife of 60 years Fannie Nell Ridings and his parents Arthur Sr. and Clara Ridings, sisters Dora Dawson, and Geneva Merrill,and brother Arthur Ridings Jr.
Grady is survived by his son Jerry W. Ridings and wife Dee of Hewitt, Texas and son David D. Ridings and wife Sandra of Round Rock, Texas. Granddaughters Valerie Dodson, Michelle Ridings, Gina Richarte, Stephanie Ridings, Kristina Carter, Samantha Carter, grandson Joshua Ridings, and great granddaughter Ryhan Dodson.
Visitation will be Wednesday May 20, 2015 from 4:00 to 8:00 pm at All Faiths Funeral Home 8507 North IH-35 Austin Texas. Graveside service will be Thursday May 21, 2015 at Veterans State Cemetery in Killeen Texas at 1:00 pm.
In lieu of flowers the family would like to request donations be made to Hospice Austin or the American Cancer Society for their wonderful care in helping Grady.
