Gray Fielding Breeden

Was born to Paul Fielding Breeden and Barbarra Hardy Breeden on September 21, 1954, in Cuero, Texas. He Succumbed to Parkinson’s and a stroke on December 5, 2024 at the age of 70.

A student of Austin Public Schools, he attended TSTI in Waco for drafting and went to the School of Architecture at the University of Texas before pursuing his passion for design and building.

In 1980, Gray established Gray Breeden Design Group, an architecture design company, winning several national design awards and was showcased in several Parade of Homes throughout Austin and San Antonio. Gray Breeden Design Group designed over 3,000 homes from single family dwellings to million dollar mansions. In 1993, Gray created Echelon Homes where he successfully designed and constructed custom and spec homes until he retired in 2022.

Gray was a talented artist, an athletic barefoot water skier, and a hardcore Aggie football fan.

He is survived by his wife of 31 years, Paula, daughters Whitney and Taylor, son-in-law Thomas Coughlin, grandkids Nora and Carter Coughlin. Sister Diane Kennedy, brother-in-law Scott Kennedy, brother Tad Breeden, sister-in-law Michele Breeden, and numerous nieces and nephews.
