North Austin Location

Henry "Pee Wee" Floyd Davis was born on February 20, 1951, in Austin, Texas to the union of Esrom Davis and Alton Mae Davis.

Pee Wee confessed his hope in Christ and was baptized at an early age. He attended public schools in Austin and graduated L.C. Anderson Class of '69. Pee Wee was an All-District basketball player and All City leading scorer for District IV A. He went on to become a local legend, dominating on many courts in Austin.

Thereafter, he received his Associate Degree from St. Phillips Junior College in San Antonio, TX and was an All Conference basketball player. He later attended Jacksonville Mississippi University. After completing school, his work career included employment at the Texas State Capitol; Parks and Recreation (Rosewood); a multitude of coaching and officiating assignments, which included Doris Miller, other recreational facilities, and Austin area schools.

Pee Wee had a BIG heart, was always willing to lend a hand and would help anyone in need. No matter who you were, he treated everyone the same. Pee Wee was passionate about the Lord and rededicated his life to Christ in 1997. He was active in his church home, Macedonia Baptist Church, where he also served as a Deacon. In his free time, he enjoyed spending time with his family, friends, extended 12th street family, especially Sam's Bar-B-Que, and attending high school basketball games.

Pee Wee departed this life on November 25, 2016. He is preceded in death by his father, Esrom Davis; his brother John Davis; and his sister Betty Guerro. He leaves to cherish his memories his mother, Alton Mae Davis of Austin, TX; his four children of Austin, TX, LaSonya Gant, Derrick Davis, Eutrisia Davis, Angela Davis-Crayton; his eight grandchildren, Benjamin, Marquis, RiaChenet, SaDoriya, Mariah, Diva, Sarah, and Paul Christopher (PJ); and one great grandchild, Bryan.
