Mr. Ira Routt Jr., son of Ira and Beatrice Routt, was born in Travis County on May 2, 1943. He attended public school in Manor, Texas. Everyone called him Jr.
Jr. united with Gildon Creek First Baptist Church in Manor, Texas at an early age. He was a devoted father, uncle, brother and friend. He was a wonderful person to know and love.
Jr. enjoyed the country; he really enjoyed the outdoors, nature and baseball. He found joy in working on cars, trucks, lawnmowers or just anything he could fix.
Jr. worked for the City of Austin, Electric Company and the State Highway Department.
Preceding him in death is his father Ira Routt Sr. and mother Beatrice Routt; sisters, Maud Taylor, and Doris Zachary; brother, Louis Charles Routt.
Jr. leaves to cherish his memories, his daughter Trina Hopkins; brothers, Rev. Willie B. Routt Sr. (ML) and Robert Routt; sisters, Johnnie May Easley and Mary Fields, all of Austin, TX; a very special friend Ms. Angela Hill; and a special nephew Adrian Routt; and a host of nieces, nephews other family and friends.
Funeral Services for Ira Routt will begin at 2:00 PM, Saturday, July 11, 2015 at Gildon Creek First Baptist Church, Manor, TX; interment to follow at Parks Springs Park Cemetery.
