Isidero Hernandez, Jr

Isidero "Pote" Castillo Hernandez, Jr., age 68, passed away peacefully on Saturday, September 24, 2016, at Seton Medical Center in Kyle, after succumbing to pneumonia. He was born October 20, 1947 in Lockhart to Isidro Hernandez and Jesusa (Castillo) Hernandez. He worked as a painter with D&W Painting Inc., displaying a wonderful talent in painting for more than 30 years.

Pote lived his life as a hard-working man with a generous spirit and was dedicated to his job. He enjoyed spending time with his family and friends and laughing about the simple things in life.

He is survived by his wife, Lynette (Dunn) Hernandez; daughter, Melissa Hernandez; son, Michael Stephen Hernandez; grandson, Dominic Michael Rivera; step-children: Brandon Dye, Kristie & Samuel Imbriaco, Paige Mathis; grandson, Vincent Robleto; siblings: Luis Hernandez, Eustacio Hernandez, Susie & Deacon Johnny Ojeda, and George Hernandez; mother-in-law, Elmarie Dunn; and many nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Isidro Hernandez and Jesusa (Castillo) Hernandez, and sisters, Prudencia Lopez and Teresa Torres.

Family, friends, and others whose lives Pote touched are invited to the All Faiths Funeral Services, 8507 North IH35 Frontage Road, Austin, TX 78753 from 5p.m.-9p.m. for viewing, with services from 7p.m.-8p.m. on Thursday, September 29, 2016, to reminisce and celebrate the life of our Pote.
