Isidro "Cid" Maciel, Jr. of Austin, was born May 19, 1948 in Austin, TX and was called home to the Lord on September 2, 2014, he was 66 years old. Cid is survived by his seven sisters, Lucille Maciel, Anna Maciel, Julia Ortiz, Minnie Arevalo, Diana Monagas (John), and Inez Garza (Frank); four brothers, Robert Maciel(Rose Ann), Joe Maciel (Karen), Sam Ortiz, and Jesse Ortiz (Mary); aunt Eusebia Perez, and a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Cid was a strong and loving man dedicated to his family. He instilled strength in all those who loved him and his presence will be greatly missed. Cid was an US Army veteran and retired from Region XIII.
Thank you to all of his friends for their love and support and to the staff at Brackenridge Hospital.
Visitation will be Monday, September 8, 2014 from 4:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m., recitation of the Rosary will begin at 6:30 p.m. at All Faiths Funeral Home. A mass will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, September 9, 2014 at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church.
