James Johnson, Sr

James Edward Johnson, Sr. passed away at his home in Austin, Texas on Sunday February 19, 2017 at the age of 73. He was preceded in death by his wife of 53 years, Bobbie Jean Powell Johnson, Parents Gladys and Ellen Johnson, his Sister Bobbie Nell Johnson, Brothers Jessie Johnson, Willie Johnson and Brother in Law Edward Lee Powell.

He is survived by his Sister Alma Jean Crayton (Arvey) and Gladys Pearl Howard (Nathan), Brothers Frank Louis Johnson, George Johnson, Chester Johnson (Linda). He was the beloved Father of Sharon Cleveland ( Andrew + ), Sharlene Perkins (Elroy), Sharletta Johnson, James Johnson, Jr. and Edward Johnson (Stacy). Grandfather to Jessica Manor (Kirk), Timothy Carr, Jr, Mykel Perkins, Brandon Johnson, Nicoallette Creecy (Terrin), Myshelle Perkins, Jameisha Thompson, Jasmine Johnson and Grayson Johnson. A host of Uncles, Aunts, Nephews, Nieces and Great Grand Children.

He attended Anderson High School and after working with his Father he started his own business; Johnson and Johnson Carpentry which was a skill learned from his Father and passed on to his Son's and Daughter's. He went on to become a co-owner of Johnson and Johnson Child Care with his beloved wife Bobbie.
