James Ross Maguire

James Ross Maguire of Kyle Texas

July 6, 1937 to March 31, 2024

Raised in Ocean City NJ and formerly of Woodbury Heights, NJ and Englewood, FL.



LEGACY

Jim graduated from Ocean City High School and proudly served for four years in the United States Coast Guard in the far east.  Jim was a successful licensed real estate broker in NJ and FL before his retirement. Jim shared 62 years of marriage with his loving wife Frances, whom he met on a sunny summer day in Ocean City.  (Versions of who pursued whom vary) Together they raised 3 children and had 9 grandchildren and one great-grandson that complimented their love story.  He was an avid Philadelphia sports fan and fisherman.  He also had a fondness for automobiles including his Nissan 280z, 300z and his classic 1967 Mustang. Jim will be remembered for his kind outgoing personality, sense of humor and quick wit, but mostly for his love of family and his never-ending love affair with Fran who was always by his side. 




FAMILY

Jim is the beloved husband for 62 years of Frances M. Maguire (née Mattiace). Loving father of Sharon Caruthers (Don), Stacy Lyssy (Mike), and James P. Maguire (Christylynn and children Alexandra, Bryce and Chase) Jim was predeceased by his brothers Edward and Frank, and by his sister Angel. He is survived by his brother John aka Don.  Jim was the dear Pop-pop of Caitlin (Randy), Sean, Ryan (Jon), Dylan, Ky, Kendal, Nikki, Julia (Evan) and Sophie. He was the great grandfather of baby Tripp.
