James Edward Mikolaichik

James Edward (Jim) Mikolaichik, 72, of Round Rock, Texas, previously of New Jersey, passed away peacefully on Friday, September 22, 2023, following an illness.

Born in Plainfield on September 19, 1951, he was the son of the late Anthony and Lottie (Mazur) Mikolaichik.  Jim graduated from Plainfield High School in 1969 and from Penn State University in 1973, with a B.S. in Accounting.  Before retiring he was the Director of Finance for the Capital Area Council of Governments in Austin.

Jim will be greatly missed by his wife Nancy, children Jim Mikolaichik and Meg Mikolaichik Baran, step children David Thill and Arland Thill and his six grandchildren.  He will also be missed by his nieces and nephew, Jessie Mikolaichik, Helen Porter and Ken Mikolaichik and his good friend Alan Rabe.  He was preceded in death by his brother, Gerald (Jerry) Mikolaichik.

He was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints.  Relatives and friends are invited to attend a memorial service; please see that information below.
