Jeffrey Keith Davis, the seventh child of Alton Edward Davis and Lois Estelle Rogers Davis was born March 22, 1959, in Dallas County, Texas. He passed from this earth on March 12, 2022, leaving three children, Natalie R. Davis Shaw of Bryan, Texas; Bridget Alexis Davis of Austin, Texas, and Marshall Hunter Davis, of Austin, Texas. He also leaves behind one sister, Linda Davis Dunlap of Kyle, Texas, numerous cousins, a multitude of friends, and his little dog, Angie.
Jeffrey, better known as Jeff, was an avid doer of many activities; his most recent passion being skydiving with a group of similar enthusiasts. He began jumping late in his years, but kept pace with his much younger contemporaries until he obtained his jumpers license with the proper recognition.
Jeff loved his children, his family, and animals, dogs especially. He had an uncanny knowledge of how to propagate plants of all kinds, from mangos to flowering Oleanders, and nothing made him smile more than to rescue a dying plant and bring it back to health. He also loved repairing broken items from weed eaters to vacuum cleaners and could solve a Rubik’s cube puzzle in three minutes or less.
Seagoville High School was Jeff’s alma mater, and he did well in his studies. After several starts to other careers, Jeff went to cosmetology school and obtained his hairstylist license. His ability to turn a tousled head of hair into a stylish coif was a credit to Jeff’s ability to work with his hands and his imagination. He also worked as a plumber, a mechanic, and had built his own computer.
Jeff is sorely missed, his departing flight from this earth left many to grieve the loss of his presence, but he was not afraid of dying, for he believed he had seen a foreshadowing of what was to come during a near death experience earlier in his life. In that he found peace.
Heaven regained one of its own.
