Joan Chaney

Joan Elaine Chaney, age 68, from Austin, Texas, passed away unexpectedly on December 14, 2016. Joan was born to Jessie and Catherine Whited and then later adopted by Archie and Irvalee Simpson. Joan grew up being surrounded by numerous brothers and sisters from both the Whited family and Simpson family.

Joan married her best friend, Robert Chaney, on November 8, 1974. She did spend some years working various jobs but spent most of her life raising her 4 children and being a housewife. Joan was very devoted to her kids and her husband. She provided unconditional love and support to all of them every day. Joan was also very spiritual in her own way and always vowed to be ready for the Lord to take her to her heavenly home

Joan is survived by her husband Robert Chaney, daughter Pamela Waters and husband Richard Waters, son Jeffrey Chaney, son Robert Chaney and his wife Andria Chaney, daughter Christa Chaney and 10 grandchildren; Dylan Spencer, Colton Waters, Bryce Waters, Sarah Spencer, Kassidie Waters, Natalya Flores, Hayden Chaney, Syerra Chaney, Wyllow Chaney and Hope Chaney. She also leaves behind many brothers, sisters and extended family and friends.

Services will be provided at All Faith's Funeral Home and burial will follow at the Fiskville Cemetery. Friends and family are invited to gather at daughter Pam Waters home following the graveside service.
